SEUN OLAGUNJU-LANA

Executive Dir. @ The Development Africa

Seun Olagunju-Lana is the Executive Director of The Development School, Africa - a school she founded to harness the growing population of youths in Africa towards addressing global challenges within their own communities. Through her school, she empowers African youth to identify problems and provides them with the hands-on experience of crafting local, innovative solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.. In a little over a year, Seun has reached over 4,000 young people across 7 African countries, sparking cross-continental dialogue on sustainable development. Her curriculum on Sustainability Education has been adapted into accessible learning resources that are being delivered in schools, workshops and IDP camps across various communities in Africa. With 7 years of transnational development experience, Seun has actively worked with national and international entities such as the office of the Vice-President in Nigeria, TheirWorld, the Global Shapers Community and Peace First (where she served as the Regional Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, built a community of 2048 young change-makers and disbursed over $43,000 to fund their social innovation ideas.) While her work has received several accolades, including the ‘Top 30 under 30 Changemakers’ Award by Lawverse, Seun’s focus remains on championing youth-led solutions in addressing Africa’s development challenges through education and policy advocacy.
